The Holstein General Store; after 132 years in business, continues to be the “place to go” in town for anything and everything!  Wayne Billings and wonderful staff operate this local gem, it is open for 90 hours of the week. Contained within this iconic building is the Holstein Post Office, liquor, beer, wine, groceries, ATM, OLG, ice cream and over 50 local suppliers offering maple syrup, honey, baking, meats, oven ready dinners and desserts and gourmet cheeses, and so much more!

 We are also a dealer for Louisiana & Pit Boss pellet smokers and BBQs, as well as offering meat rubs, Pitmaster Pellets and BBQ accessories.  Visitors to this friendly, hometown store rave about the BBQ aroma wafting from the smoker out front that is usually laden with delicious beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs or chicken. 

In the store, especially in the colder weather, one can find delicious soups, sandwiches and chili all made fresh daily.  If you can’t find it in the store, just ask as they will see what they can do to get what you seek! 

Wayne is also known as “Spanky” which is the name of the Food Trailer that operates outside the store Spring, Summer and Fall.  Well known for tasty street meat, everything from hotdogs, sausages, hamburgers, fresh cut fries, poutine, beef brisket, pulled pork and many other yummy goodies!  He offers 25 condiments at the trailer, famous for his own recipes of relishes and BBQ sauces, which can be purchased within the store.   He also has a mobile food trailer and is active in many community events including the Holstein Agro Expo & Rodeo Holstein Maplefest and the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival.
